PvP Ranks & Honor
PvP Ranks & Honor
World of Warcraft: Forever · Beta
How PvP ranks work in Warcraft Unlimited: how many rank points are required for each of the 14 ranks, which week each is open, what is unlocked, how to use honor to purchase blue and epic sets, and the level 30 Darkspear Islands.
The 14 PvP military ranks of the original Warcraft have returned to the unlimited server. The alliance ranges from private to generalissimo, and the tribe ranges from scout to high-level warlord. Battlefields and PvP missions will give you two things: honors used to purchase PvP equipment, and military rank points used to upgrade PvP military ranks. Each new rank unlocks rewards that can be purchased.
You can't climb as fast as you want: the game will increase the highest military rank you can reach every week, and military rank 14 will not be available until the tenth week of the season at the earliest. In 2004, your PvP rank was determined by how many fights you played compared to other players on the server. In the infinite server, every player needs the same number of points.
The following will talk about: what is required for each military rank, what is unlocked, how to use honor to purchase PvP sets, and what level 30 can already do in the beta (the new 15 vs. 15 battlefield Darkspear Islands has been opened).
- Honor and rank points
- Both battlefield and PvP missions are given. Honor is used to purchase PvP equipment and can be held up to 25,000 points. Military rank points are used to upgrade PvP military ranks and will not be consumed.
- It takes 24,750 military rank points to reach military rank 14
- in ten weeks. The game will increase the highest military rank you can reach each week: in week 1 it is military rank 3, in week 5 it is military rank 8, and in week 10 it is military rank 14.
- Each military rank has rewards
- Military rank 1 has a jersey, military rank 2 has PvP accessories, military rank 11 has a black war mount, and military rank 14 has weapons.
- Blue first, then epic
- Blue PvP set can be purchased with honor, starting from level 55. At level 60, Mark of Fear can upgrade every piece of equipment to an epic version. The marks are different according to the parts, and are available for purchase from military ranks 8 to 13.

Honor and Set
Honor
Honor comes from killing players of the enemy camp, battlefields and PvP missions, and will go directly to your currency page. Can hold up to 25,000 points: Blizzard raised the cap from 15,000 on October 1, while also increasing most PvP prices by about 50%. The new price has not yet been announced.
Now each battlefield takes the same time to get similar honors, so Alterac Valley is no longer the only efficient battlefield. The inheritance expertise "Supreme Glory" can be increased by up to 10%.
First blue, then epic
Each set has a blue version that can be purchased with honor. Item level is 60 and can be purchased starting from level 55. PvP military rank is not required. The epic version is item level 65 and requires level 60: bring blue equipment and the fearless mark on the corresponding part, and each mark must reach the corresponding PvP military rank before it can be purchased.

Sets for each profession
Each camp has fifteen sets. Shamans and druids each have three sets, Paladins and Priests have two sets each, so healers and magicians also have their own sets. The Horde Paladin and Alliance Shaman, which did not have sets in 2004, also have them this time.

Points to obtain
Rank points come from the battlefield and missions released in Gadgetzan. Honor also comes from these places, and every honor kill is also given. Players from all server types will mix together on the battlefield, except for Hardcore mode.
| Battlefield | Military rank | Number of people | Call to Arms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warsong Canyon | 10–60 | 10 Yes 10 | is |
| Arathi Basin | 20–60 | 15 Yes 15 | is |
| Darkspear Islands (new) | 30–60 | 15 pair 15 | is |
| Alterac Valley | 51–60 | 40 pair 40 | No |
Each week, one of the first three battlefields will take turns to become the "Call to Battle" battlefield, in order: Darkspear Islands, Arathi Basin, and Warsong Canyon. It will give more honor and rank points that week.
Land of Honor series of tasks
There are ten weekly tasks in each season, which will give honor and military rank points. Weeks 4, 7 and 10 will also give 1 inheritance point each, and these three will continue to be available in subsequent seasons. The content of the mission has not been released yet, but there are already these goals in the game:
12 inheritance points
Among the inheritance points a character can obtain, 12 points come from PvP, 1 point each:
- Military rank 3, 7, 10, 13, 14
- Achieve exalted reputation in each battlefield camp
- Honorable Land Week 4, 7, 10
Darkspear Islands
This is a new battlefield, and it is also the only battlefield that can be queued by Beta. It can be queued starting from level 30. Fifteen versus fifteen, located on an island off the coast of Kalimdor: there are four strongholds to defend, and a flag in the middle to take back to your own stronghold. The first team to score 2,000 points wins. Don't go in the water: there are sharks. Don't go in the water: there are sharks.

Military rank points seem to have not started counting on Beta: players who have already earned 2,000 points of honor still display 0 on the PvP tab. /750.
For other level 30 gear, our Graduation Equipment List (BIS) has a PvP list for each class, and the Duel Tournament Guide covers the level 30 Horde Tournament on October 17th and 18th.
FAQ
- Will PvP military rank decrease?
- Blizzard doesn't mention decay, and there's nothing in the game that deducts points: your rank is a progress bar that only grows. Classic itself also canceled decay in December 2023.
- Will my PvP military rank be reset every season?
- Blizzard hasn’t said anything yet. The PvP tab will show the season and end countdown, and the lead designer said that military rank 14 can be reached "in a season or a version cycle", and the roadmap plans to have a PvP season update in the spring of 2027 and the summer of 2027.
- When does the first season start?
- has no date yet. The unlimited server launches on November 4th, and Blizzard has not said whether the first PvP season will start on the same day.
- Do we have to fight Alterac Valley?
- is not required. Blizzard has evened out the honors given by each battlefield. Alterac Valley cannot be opened until level 51, and it is not included in the "Call to Arms" rotation. However, it is still counted in the kill mission in the Land of Honor, and its camp reputation can also earn inheritance points.
- Does PvP in the wild count?
- will give honors for honorable kills anywhere. According to the game itself, military rank points come from battlefields and missions released in Gadgetzan.
- What will happen if the rank points exceed the weekly limit?
- Blizzard hasn’t said yet whether they will wait until the cap is raised next week before counting it in, or whether they will just void it.
- Do I need a PvP military rank to buy a blue suit?
- Not required. Blue equipment only requires level 55 and honor, nothing else is needed. PvP military ranks are limited to marks, military rank rewards and weapons.
- Is there an arena or rated battlefield?
- has not been announced yet. There are two arenas in the beta, Hyjal Crater and Glory Duel Arena, as well as a Battle of Gilneas map that Blizzard has not mentioned.
